This very expensive phone has approximately 271 grams of 22 carat gold and is studded with an estimated 136 diamonds worth 68 carat! The Apple logo is made up from 53 flawless dazzling diamonds and the front navigation button is embellished with a very rare single cut diamond, weighing in at 7.1 carats.

The presentation box for this unique handset was rather extravagant too – made from a single block of granite, in Kashmir gold with the inner lined with top grain Nubuck leather, with the box and phone together weighing somewhere in the region of 7Kg.

This is the most expensive mobile phone in history. Yes, the most expensive phone ever made. It was a one off commission for a very wealthy Australian businessman who unsurprisingly works in the gold mining industry. Dating is an expensive proposition these days.  Even if you decide to go Dutch, a trip to the cinema and a meal at a decent (but not too upmarket) place can put a significant dent in your budget, and that’s without popcorn, drinks, and transport to and from the venue.  You can curb your spending by proposing a quiet night in every now and then, but pizza-and-a-movie does get boring after a while.  Instead of putting an end to your social life, why not try a few of these low cost dating ideas.

Take A Tour

Free tours aren’t restricted just to art galleries and museums these days.  Why not visit a chocolate factory (free samples!), a micro-brewery (free beer!), or a toy factory?  Not all tours are completely free of charge, but even ones that do cost money should be a lot cheaper than two tickets to the IMAX.

Attend a Screening

Going to the cinema on a voucher might look cheap under normal circumstances, but if the voucher gets you in to the movie the day before it opens to the public, it makes you look well informed and “connected”.  Just don’t let on that you got the screening tickets from a freebie website!

Go Star Gazing
